Historical Mug-Shot

With Salute 2013 in the offing I thought I'd share this little bit of wargaming history. This is what I drink my coffee from at work - a Salute 25th Anniversary mug with the legend 'I Ran A Game At Salute Ninety Six'.

I was with the Staines Wargamers, and I think we were running our prize-winning 'Stagecoach' game (the one in black and white, if anyone remembers it). Good times.

Anyway, that mug's 17 years old and has survived five house moves and a trip to the other side of the world. Now it baffles people in an office in Wollongong.

  1. Excellent mug! I'm from Staines originally but I've only moved to Surrey!

    1. I'm from Birmingham - I only moved to Staines. Lived there for 18 years, then got parole and came to Australia :)
