  1. Thank you for your posts this year, and before. I don't comment because I rarely have anything to say and the blogger google comment system gives me trouble every time, but I read and appreciate them!

I also appreciate the good colours in your header. 🏳️‍⚧️ wishing you a good 2025 🏳️‍⚧️

    1. Happy to fly the flag. I think it'll be an important thing to do this coming year.

  2. Very nice - plenty of interesting games with attractive toys. 👏👏
The Spandau & Lewis games were especially inspirational.
I trust ‘25 has been good so far - it’s still ‘24 here in the UK.
    Cheers,
    Geoff

    1. Thanks. I had a lot of fun with Spandau & Lewis this year and it inspired me to polish off a load of painting that was waiting to be done as well.

    1. I need to write up the rules formally, but they can be found in these posts:

  7. Happy New Year Kaptain! Sorry, I'm a bit late to this game but hey, life's like that.

That's an impressive spread of games played. Thanks for keeping up such an entertaining blog. It's inspirational.

One other thing. Can I ask you, where did you get that sea cloth that's under the "French ships" in the fourth picture down?

    All the best, Chris

    1. It's not mine, but I think it's a cheap plastic tablecloth from the party department of Target.

    2. Thanks Kaptain. That's interesting. If looks remarkably realistic and strikes a great balance between dark enough to be credible and pale enough to show off the ships! I don't think Target has stores in the UK, where I live, but I can trawl some of the UK budget store websites. One of them might stock something similar. Regards, Chris

    3. The downside is that it's incredibly thing plastic. I think it starts to tear after a couple of uses (my friend got a couple as I recall).
