More Painting

Another batch of completed WW1 aircraft, all from Tumbling Dice, naturally.

At the front are a couple of Fokker DR1s, in the middle some French Farman F20s and at the back a mighty Zeppelin-Staaken RVI bomber.

The Farmans will pass as F40s if you don't look too closely, so are useful for a few years of the war.

My Fokker Dr1 collection. I couldn't find what you'd call a 'standard' colour scheme for them , so they are all done in the markings of named pilots based mostly on which colours I liked the look of.

And here's the big bomber. It's wingspan was on a par with some WWII long-range bombers.

This huge aircraft has a crew of eleven. Those brown spots on the rear of the upper wing are gun positions, used by the mechanics who are stationed in each of the engine nacelles. With a rear-gunner or two in the fuselage this plane can put out a fair bit of fire behind and to the sides.

Now I have to design some fun scenarios for the Zeppelin-Staaken (and the Gothas of course).
