Sushi Go Party

A quick post, purely to record my first 52 Games entry for April - Sushi Go. Catherine and I played four games this evening of something that is becoming one of our favourites.

Here's the menu setup for the first couple of games:

Catherine won both of them, but we felt a few of the cards didn't work so well with two players, so switched them out for the last two games. That's the fun of Sushi Go; you can change the menu and it changes how the cards interact and score get totalled*. We found this combination a lot more interesting:

Anyway, Catherine won three games by relatively narrow margins, whilst I romped home by miles in the fourth game. I declared that a draw on aggregate.

On of my favourite things about this game is how the cards you slot into the menu also act as little index cards for organising the different items in the box. It's a nice piece of design.

*The basic Sushi Go has just one set of menu options, so you get the same game every time. Sushi Go Party is the deluxe version, with options and a menu that you construct for each game.
