Jaws: The Revenge

Catherine and I took the Jaws boardgame for a spin again this evening. She played the Crew, I played the shark. Here she is pondering how to track down the predator that has already eaten three swimmers off the beaches of Amity.

(Haha! How could she guess that it was hiding under the Orca the whole time?)

Having terrorised the east side of the island I switched the shark to the west. Hooper spotted it pretty quickly (he suspected the shark was doing the hiding under the boat trick again), but was unable to prevent a feeding frenzy off one beach, and a second set of attacks off another which took the shark to the nine kills it needed to win the First Act.

Second Act. The crew set out on the Orca, but they had the minimum of gear allowed for this phase, whereas I had a full hand of nasty shark ability cards to terrorise them with.

I quickly demolished most of the Orca's starboard, leaving it listing.

The bow was next.

With the majority of the boat gone, and all of the crew injured, I switched to attacking them as they floundered in the water.

Brody died first.

Quint went down without a fight having failed to score a single wound on the shark.

And finally ... Hooper. Delicious. The sweet taste of victory.

Aloy reckons that Catherine could have done with a bigger boat.
