HOTT on Lulu

Good news! 'Hordes of the Things' v2.1 is now not only available again, but it's available on Lulu print-on-demand. Hopefully this will see the end of it disappearing from circulation for months at a time as stock runs out without it being reprinted.

You can get it HERE

Apparently it will also be available through Amazon and similar sites in the next couple of weeks as well.

As a reminder. v2.1 is the same text as the 2002 v2.0 edition with the only real change being the swapping of movement rates between Shooters and Warband. It also includes a load more army lists. However it's an A4 book, so the text is a lot bigger and easier to read.

Update: The price in the screenshot is in Australian dollars.

  1. Hoards? Is Lulu's proofreader on holiday?

  2. $28.59? The site "You can get it here" says $18 or so. Of course that was two years ago so a 50% price increase probably isn't a surprise. I got Civilization from Avalon Hill for $35 and Advanced Civilization for $30 way back when so it wasn't that big a surprise to find Amazon priced Mega-Civilization for $700.

    1. Might have been a hiccup in pricing when the pciture was taken, or it's based on Kobold's location and currency.

You can usually find coupons for Lulu pretty easily as well.

  3. This is pretty exciting news. I have wanted to try this game for years, but every time I'd go to purchase, they'd be out of stock or around $30usd. Admittedly that's not super expensive, but more than I typically want to spend on rules.

    1. I'd argue that was well worth it, but then HOTT has pretty much defined my wargaming for the past 25 years, so on the whole it's been money well-spent :)
