It allowed the Royalists a fair degree of choice as to where they came on, so long as the PIPs were kind. I did consider just using the normal HOTT lurker rules, but that are triggered by the enemy element actually entering the terrain; I saw the ambushes as coming *from* the terrain, so something proximity-related was really called for. That's why if the Royalist player doesn't deploy the ambush on a blind that's close to the enemy, the blind is lost. Maybe one change I might make is to have the ambush cost 2 PIPs per element to deploy (and you only get 1-3). That would make them riskier to manage. However I'd also add in some kind of incentive to force the Patriots to attack and drive off the Royalist force, otherwise it would be too easy for them just to sit back and use their artillery, avoiding the worst danger of the ambushes and allowing far too much caution.Kaptain Koboldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17082772546044655044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2570039711549278262.post-65036652456331258012016-08-18T22:20:40.836+10:002016-08-18T22:20:40.836+10:00I happen to quite like olives! Do the ambushers have any special rules (like lurkers)?Beelzebub (just kidding, Caesar)noreply@blogger.com
